We made one of our most dramatic changes to appearance:

New Navigation: We revamped the navigation quite a bit. Now you can get around between all your loops and ZLoop will stay anchored to the top much like any other toolbar. We have also tried to make it easier for you to get to and see everything you use quickly.

Your Loops and Relationships are now both available at all times in a drop down and we have split out the Inbox from your Invitations. Next to the My Profile button is a drop down of your username; here you can find common account functions such as changing your password and logging out with more to come.

ZHome: As you can see the ZHome page has had quite a makeover to fit with our new navigation. This layout should make your information more accessible when you first login. See the section on "New Navigation" for a little more info on how to get around now.

We just keep rolling out the features! Here's what's new this month.

Visitor Mode: This allows people you've invited to ZLoop to see the Loop before choosing to become a participating member. It also allows you to directly link to your public Loops from anywhere on the internet and have people be able to view the Loop without creating an account. In order to contribute, people will still have to join up. These changes make last month's new feature, public loops, a lot more powerful than it was originally. It can also make it easier to get people to join your loops, because it's no longer a "blind" sign up, your invitees can view the loop before choosing to join.

Improved Events Module: We've repeatedly had people ask to make their events application more like a calendar and less like a list. The problem is that a calendar view doesn't fit well with the ability to run searches and filter your results. So, what we came up with is providing both our traditional list view and a calendar view. All of your events applications in all your loops have been upgraded to show you an event calendar of the current month, and you can scroll through this calendar to see events in other months. This calendar shows you which days have events, and you can click or hover on a day to get a view of which events are on that day.

This morning we rolled out a new release with some exciting new features!

Public Loops: Make your loops visible to other ZLoop users on their ZHome, allowing them to join in. When you create a new loop, you have the option of making it public, and you can modify this setting from the Members page's settings tab. We've created a few public loops already, including the ZLooped! public loop, which all of us ZLoop employees are in. Stop by and say hello.

Remember Me on this Computer: Tired of entering your password over and over? So are we. There is now an option to stay logged in for up to 2 weeks. As always, clicking the "Logout" link will immediately log you out and you'll need to enter your password the next time, so if you want to stay logged in, just close your browser.

Improved Membership Page: The loop Membership page got a visual refresh and some much needed organization, which should make it easier to manage users with larger loops.

Weekly Inbox Emails: We decided there needed to be more flexibility in how your Inbox activities were sent to your email. Now you can choose to be notified for every activity, just once per week, or only view your activities when you log in to ZLoop. If you choose "Weekly" You'll receive one notification per time that you log in, but if you don't log in for a while, you won't receive another email for a week.

New Features:

Linked Loops for Larger Looping: Looking to reach a larger audience? Wanting to connect communities and loops together? We have a new feature that will make the job easy for you -- Linked Loops. Linked Loops makes it easy for you to advertise your loop on another loop, allowing people to join on the spot. Here's how it works….

Let's say you are a member of a vintage car loop and you think that the other members of the car loop would be interested in your fantasy football loop. You can go to the vintage car loop and add your fantasy football loop in the Linked Loops portlet. Adding it is easy. Click the +Add button, choose from your loops list, add an eye-catching description and then click Add. Your loop is listed on your buddy's vintage car loop. Now anyone from the car loop can join your football loop by clicking on the “Join this Loop” link. You don't have to invite them and they don't have to wait for you to send anything out to them. They're instantly a member of your loop. Be sure to add the new Linked Loops portlet to any of your existing loops that you think would benefit from the added exposure. From your loop home, click on the “Edit This Page” link. In the Portlet Configuration box in the upper left you'll see that you can add Linked Loops to your home page view. Click “Save Editing” and you'll see the new portlet on your home page. (Note that only Loop Owners have the authority to add Linked Loops as a feature on a loop.)

We're so excited about this feature that we're including it as an active part of every new loop you create. You'll need to add it to your existing loops, however. Be sure to link up your loops for more growth and activity!

Updated Features:

People Search is now better than ever: From within the People portlet you can now expect faster and more accurate search results. Now the switch from the search view to the detail view is instantaneous. Also, with some improved algorithms you can expect that your results will be better and faster. We've been listening: Thanks to your feedback our engineers have made a number of improvements to our flows, increased the speed and performance of all of our portlets and provided better support for older browsers such as Internet Explorer 6. Here are some of the new features:

Starter Loops: When you join ZLoop you will receive five free loops. We've done the hard part so that all you need to do is invite people in and start sharing.

Content Editor Upgrade: We've made it easier to paste information directly from Microsoft Word and keep it looking good after it's pasted in. Whether you're adding a conversation or an event, or commenting on something in a loop, you'll be able to click the "Paste From Word" icon and keep the formatting of your original document intact.

Turn Off Email: If a loop is too active and you find yourself swamped with email notices of all that's going on, we've made it even easier to stop the flood of mail. When you open your email notice, the first thing you see is a link to turn off email notifications. Simply click that and you're all set. You will no longer receive email notices for new content. The only emails you'll get after that are invitations to new loops, because we know you won't want to miss out on those.

Delete a Loop: We've added a new feature for loop owners only. You can now delete a loop. We recognize there are times when you want to shut your loop down and get rid of all content. So we've given you the ability to do that. However, please be sure of your decision as all content will be permanently deleted with no way for it to be undone.

Reminder!

Keep your ZLoop account current : Let us know if you change your email address. Simply send us an email to productsupport@zloop.com with your change of address request. We'll verify the new address and get your account updated.
