He brings to the table a focus on security and a diverse background in telecom ranging from copper and fiber infrastructure through high end routers, load balancers, security devices and content acceleration. Jim Bisenius began thinking about the idea for ZLoop as a college junior in 2004. Each day Jim interacted in a multitude of different networks; from class to class, from student clubs to school leadership teams then back to his residence hall, all the while trying to stay connected with family, friends, people from church, different projects, companies created in his dorm and a variety of other groups, communities, and networks. During this time, Jim realized e-mail, as the dominant form of interaction, was hopelessly inadequate for the dynamic and collaborative interaction required of him daily. With the world becoming familiar with the rich interaction enabled through the increasing popularity of online communities and collaboration systems, Jim envisioned a mass market tool to give everyone the ability to more accurately replicate their real world interaction online. While working with another software startup, Jim continued to realize such a system would solve a serious need. After 6 months, Jim left to work on ZLoop’s design and development full-time.
ZLoop is now in the process of being released to the world.
